Project: Building a Communications Strategy for Your Organization Workshop Series

Brief: WomenStrong International recognized the need to empower their partners with the tools necessary to craft effective communications strategies tailored to their unique contexts. This initiative aimed to enhance the capability of small nonprofits in the global south, focusing on developing a strategic communication plan. The project required comprehensive communications support, including workshop planning, execution, and the development of a strategic communications curriculum.

What we did: Collaborating closely with WomenStrong International’s communications team, we designed a four-part interactive workshop series. This series was meticulously structured to guide participants through each phase of creating a practical communications strategy. Key activities included:

  • Workshop Design and Content Development: We developed a detailed curriculum that covered essential topics such as understanding communication strategies and plans, identifying target audiences, crafting compelling messages, and measuring the impact of communication efforts.

  • Resource Creation: Produced a range of supporting materials including PowerPoint slides, detailed worksheets for each session, and comprehensive cheat sheets that distilled complex concepts into actionable tools.

  • Interactive Elements: Designed various interactive components for each workshop, such as live discussions, breakout sessions, and hands-on activities that allowed participants to apply concepts in real-time, enhancing learning outcomes.
