Project: Women Deliver Pre-Conference on the Care Economy

Brief: Ahead of the 2023 Women Deliver Conference, The Asia Foundation's Women’s Economic Empowerment team organized a one-day pre-conference in Rwanda, focusing on the care economy. This gathering aimed to unite stakeholders from across Africa to spotlight and deliberate on pivotal strategies to advocate on the behalf of informal workers. A comprehensive communications and social media strategy was essential to amplify the event's outcomes and discussions.

What we did: & Daughters provided a full spectrum of social media support tailored to the pre-conference's unique needs. Our services encompassed creating and sharing a versatile social media toolkit, designing captivating social media graphics, providing copy for attendees to share on social media, and offering live coverage of the event. This included live transcription and tweeting, ensuring the discussions reached a broad audience in real-time and fostered engaging dialogues in the digital space on enhancing the care economy across Africa.
